Upfr 10 European cities to visit for Art Nouveau
13 and a half billion years, air jordan 28 more or less the age of the Milky Way, nike 4 jordans condensed into two minutes. It is the latest effort by NASA engineers who in this spectacular animation show us the development of a galaxy similar to ours from the Big Bang to the present day. Each color used in the video has a precise meaning: in red the oldest stars, air force 1 schwarz in white and blue the youngest, Yeezy 700 in light blue the gases. The simulation refers to a galaxy 300,000 light years across, i.e. 3.8 times the size of the Milky Way. The animation was created on Pleiades, a NASA supercomputer operating at the Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California, and it took about a million CPU hours to process. In reality the actual calculation time was much less, since Pleiades has 23,552 processors capable of working all together. Galaxies the evolutioncontinuesThanks to this simulation, obtained with the observations of the Keck and Hubble telescopes, it was possible to discover that the order observed in the disks of galaxies does not date back to an ancient era of the universe, as many astronomers believed, but would instead the result of a gradual process. As the National Institute of Astrophysics explains, until today, the prevailing hypothesis was that the order of the galactic disks dates back to around 8 billion years ago: to what is called, precisely, 鈥渢he epoch of disk settling鈥? A study just published in The Astrophysical Journal has developed a new hypothesis, stating that today's forms, so well organized, are actually the product of a much more gradual evolution. An evolution that has never stopped stopping. Beautiful galaxies and ugly galaxies 芦The trend we have observed禄, explains further... |
